SAM AND IRENE BLACK SCHOOL OF BUSINESS Advice
for Management Majors (MANGT) Acting Program
Chair: Dr. Jeffrey K. Pinto To help you with your current and future scheduling, a list for fall and spring terms has been provided below. It is extremely important to note that some of these courses are only offered once a year, which means paying particular attention to scheduling for future semesters. If you need one or more of these courses, make sure you don't miss the opportunity to sign up for them when they are offered. First: Please note that 400-level business supporting course options have now been expanded! It is no longer necessary to choose only from among MANGT 420, MANGT 440, ECNS 410, or ECNS 430. We have expanded this list to include other business 400-level courses, such as MRKTG 400 or MRKTG 410. If you have an alternative course in mind, first check with your adviser. Second: At this time, those taking the Operations option are required to take SCM 445, 455, 460, and ECNS 460. MIS 336 can be substituted for ECNS 460. Third: Please be aware that you need to complete MANGT 300 in the fall in order to fulfill the prerequisite for MANGT 330 and MANGT 340, which are offered in the spring only. Similarly, you must complete SCM 310 in the fall in order to fulfill the prerequisite for SCM 445 and SCM 460, which are offered in the spring only. Fourth: You must complete FNC 300, SCM 310, and MRKTG 300 to satisfy the prerequisites for MANGT 470W, which should be scheduled in your seventh or eighth semester.
