Mechanical Engineering: Our Mission
We aim to provide undergraduate educational opportunities for students to become motivated, self-confident, professional, problem solvers who are strong in engineering fundamentals and design. We also aim to provide graduate educational opportunities for students to further develop their ability to creatively apply engineering tools to solve complex, engineering problems.
Through basic and applied research, we strive to create and enhance an intellectually stimulating environment leading to an expanded body of knowledge in the areas of faculty interest and expertise. These efforts are to be recognized and disseminated nationally and internationally through publication and participation in professional communities as well as through graduate and undergraduate education.
Through pursuit of this mission we aspire to be recognized leaders in improving the academic environment at Behrend and within the School of Engineering as well as supporting the engineering profession within Behrend and to the public.
