- Students have the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally, experiencing new technology in a foreign setting, and gaining exposure to foreign cultures.
- Acquired skills are implemented on company-sponsored student projects.
- Students publish research papers and present them at the largest annual plastics conference in the world.
- Faculty members in the plastics program average more than fifteen years in industry, allowing them to bring relevant industrial experience into the classroom.
