Dr. Shouling He is an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. She earned the B.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1981 at Northwestnern Polytechnic University in Xian, China. Dr. He earned her M.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1986 from Harbin Institute of Technology in Harbin, China, and the Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering in 2001 from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany. She was chosen for a faculty summer fellowship for the Upper Midwest Aerospace Consortium at the University of North Dakota in 2002. Dr. He is a member of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
Prior to Dr. He’s appointment at Penn State Behrend, she worked as a Senior Engineer, Engineer, and Assistant Engineer from 1986-1995 at the Beijing Institute of Electronic Systems Engineering (BIESE), China; as a Scientific Assistant during 1996-1997 at the Bavarian Research Center for Knowledge-Based Systems, College of Computer Science at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany; as a Research Assistant during 1998-1999 at the University of Manitoba, Canada and then as a Visiting Assistant Professor during 2001-2002 at the University of North Dakota.
