Career Paths for English Majors

English majors can pursue any number of career choices. As a result, graduates of Penn State Erie's program in English have found employment in a wide variety of fields.

For example, a number of our graduates now work at nearby Erie Insurance.

Many have entered professional programs in law or medicine or pursued advanced degrees in English or other disciplines. Several of our graduates teach English at the junior-high or high-school levels. Still others work in the private sector for insurance companies, research institutions, corporations, and real estate firms.
