After a tour of the Federal Reserve Building, the group got to sit and hold a conference in the Federal Reserve Board room, where interest rate decisions are made. We met with Penn State alumnus Alan Quinlan, president of Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, for a pizza lunch, where he discussed his work on political campaigns. That afternoon we met with a legislative assistant for Senator Arlen Specter and visited the Australian Embassy for a presentation. Later, the group had a briefing at the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank, and then walked by the Watergate complex to visit the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
