Bibliographic Instruction

Library InstructionBI (Bibliographic Instruction), or Library Instruction as it is sometimes called, is one way for students, staff, and faculty to learn how to use the full potential of the library and its resources.

Faculty members are encouraged to use a BI session as a part of their class to enrich the learning experience. Students will learn about how to explore knowledge and how it is organized as well as how to effectively and efficiently use all the resources the library has to further that knowledge.

Faculty members at Behrend who wish to request a BI session for their class may do so by choosing one of the following options.

  • Call or email Patience Simmonds, ext. 6062, email: pls7@psu.edu,
Russ Hall, ext. 6426, email: rah29@psu.edu or Jane Ingold, ext. 7278, email: jli4@psu.edu.

  • Fill out and submit the electronic BI request form found HERE.

  • Print out the BI request form, fill it out and then bring it to the library or send it by campus mail.

Remember, we still have the paper version of the request form for you to fill out if you so choose.
