Faculty Luncheon Series

Wednesday, April 14, 2004 - Noon, MISC Studio
Using (New) Technologies to Enhance Your Classes

This session will feature classroom technologies available at Behrend.  Featured Behrend faculty will talk about how they use technologies such as PowerPoint, multimedia objects, ANGEL (quizzes, discussion groups, and surveys), and SmartBoards to engage students in class and help them reach higher levels of learning.

Carla Torgerson and Stephanie Janson from the Center for Teaching and Educational Technologies at Behrend will lead the discussion. The forum is sponsored by the Undergraduate Studies Committee.

A lunch of deli-style sandwiches, salad, and refreshments will be provided courtesy of the CEO and Dean's office.  Please RSVP Tracy Greene at x6160 or iog3@psu.edu by Monday, April 12.

ANGEL Day II

Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at University Park

This symposium is an opportunity for faculty members to share their experiences with Penn State's Course Management System, ANGEL, and the many ways they use ANGEL to enhance teaching and learning.  For an idea of what this symposium will entail, the findings of last year's ANGEL Day can be found at the following website:
