SCHOOL OF SCIENCE Applied Mathematics Option General Requirements Upper-level courses are then tailored to match each student's selected option. Courses required for completion of the Applied Mathematics Option include work in analysis, numerical methods, statistics, and operations research. Supporting and elective credits (up to 21) are available and can be used to earn a minor in another discipline. Supervised research projects or internships may also be scheduled as supporting or elective credits.
