The School of Science at Penn State Erie employs part-time instructors in astronomy, biology, computer science, chemistry, geoscience, geography, mathematics, and physics.
Most part-time instruction is at the introductory college level. Needs depend upon course schedules, enrollments, and faculty leaves, and sometimes arise on relatively short notice.
The school will accept applications at any time and keep them on file for consideration should vacancies occur. An M.S. or higher degree is required; teaching experience is preferred.

Part-time position to coordinate Practicum in Student Teaching – Secondary Education. Successful candidate will organize and coordinate student teaching in mathematics with regional secondary schools, and supervise student teachers. Position requires organizational ability, people skills, and a commitment to training strong secondary mathematics teachers. Degree and certification in secondary mathematics education required. Experience in regional school districts strongly preferred. The position will begin in the 2008/09 academic year when the program will be set up and organized. The first students will matriculate through the program in the following year.
