How to Apply to the Penn State Behrend MBA Program

Applications are currently being processed for summer and fall 2008. Begin the application process now by submitting the online Graduate School application; the remaining documents can be sent at your convenience. 

Domestic applicant deadlines:

  • April 8 for Summer I 2008: May 12 - June 27

  • April 8 for Summer II 2008: June 30 - Aug 15

    • summer semesters run for 7 weeks

    • typically, only electives are offered

    • classes are 2 nights per week - 6:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

  • July 7 for Fall 2008: August 25 - December 19

Only online applications are accepted by Penn State's Graduate School; please click on the link below to access the application.  If you are not a current Penn State student, you will be asked to create a Friends of Penn State Account. 

You can skip some fields on the application that you may not know - items such as jr/sr GPA, and GMAT scores, if you have not yet taken the exam.  An email notice will be sent to Penn State Behrend, the following day, regarding your application. 

Electronic Application

The application won't be processed without the application fee ($45 US); you have the option to pay by:

  • Credit card -electronic submission with application

  • Credit card - paper submission, download Fee Payment form

  • Personal Check or Money Order - download Fee Payment form

An international money order must be drawn on a U.S. bank; the cancelled check serves as your receipt.

After you have submitted your e-application, continue to send the remaining documents, required for admission, directly to:

International applicants must also submit:

  • TOEFL score report that meets or exceeds the minimum requirement:
    • 213 on computer-based exam,
    • 550 on the paper-based exam, or
    • 80 on the IBT exam with a 20 or greater on the speaking section
  • Attested copies of Transcripts or Marksheets in native language
  • Attested copies of Transcripts or Marksheets translated to English, if applicable
  • Application for Visa and Financial Certification, if not already in the US on a work permit.   This should be sent to Penn State Behrend along with the application portfolio.

International students, who are already in the US on a work visa, will need to provide their original passport, visa, and I-94 to the Graduate Admissions Counselor.  Copies will be forwarded to the International Student Services staff located at Penn State University Park.
