Heartland Hospice

Hospice volunteers make friendly visits to our terminally ill patients in need of additional social support. Oftentimes, a warm heart with a listening ear make all the difference in someone's daily life.  Volunteers can also donate craft items or baked goods, run small errands, help with light housework and give caregivers a few hours of rest during their day.

Hospice is a special kind of care tailored to meeting the comfort needs of people given a life expectancy of 6 months or less to live.  Physical, spiritual and psychosocial needs are addressed for that person.  Volunteers in the program are able to decide how much time they would like to contribute based upon personal availablility.  Volunteers are also given a patient match that will be rewarding and enhancing for everyone involved.  No prior hospice experience is required with training being free and flexible to scheduling needs.  Call today to see where your talents can fit in!
