WELCOME TO COLLEGE FOR KIDS 2009!

We are excited to be back celebrating our 16th year of summer programming!

REGISTRATION 2009 opened May 18 and will remain open until late July. As classes fill quickly, please register as soon as possible to secure your classes.

PROGRAM

 

College for Kids is a summer enrichment program that offers a diverse selection of one week, age-appropriate classes for children and teenagers from 6 through 16 years of age.

The 2009 program offers classes Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m.-Noon, from 1:00-4:00 p.m., or all-day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Optional morning and afternoon care is also available. 

We'd like to bring your attention to the following "all-day" classes. Please view the individual class description and details, including new drop-off/pick-up locations, by selecting the appropriate age-link to the left.

     Mural Painting: A Community Art Project, for students 12 years and older.
     This class will be painting a mural at the Early Learning Center.
               June 15-19, 2009

     Presque Isle Field Studies, for students 10-14 years old.
     This class will take place at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center.
               July 6-10, 2009
               July 13-17, 2009
               July 20-24-2009

     Summer Sailing at the Bayfront Center for Maritime Studies, for students
     10 years and older. This class will take place at the BCMS.
               July 27-31, 2009
               August 3-7, 2009
               August 10-14, 2009

We have worked hard to put together a schedule that brings back many of your favorite classes as well as offering you new opportunities. We hope you will enjoy these diverse selections and that your child has a fun and wonderful summer experience!

Program Overview

  • Hands-on classes offer exciting activities

  • For ages 6 and up

  • Secure drop-off and pick-up location

  • One-week sessions, June 15-August 14, 2009

  • No classes the week of June 29-July 3, 2009

  • Early and late care available for an extra minimal fee

  • Use your VISA or MasterCard to register

Come for One Class or Stay All Day

  • Early Care (optional): 7:30-9:00 a.m. $15.00/week

  • Late Care (optional): 4:00-5:30 p.m. $15.00/week

  • Morning Session: 9:00 a.m.-Noon (See class schedule)

  • Afternoon Session: 1:00-4:00 p.m. (See class schedule)

  • All-Day Session: 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (See class schedule)

  • Lunch Break (Noon-1:00 p.m.): If your child is attending camp all day, the program will supervise the lunch hour at no additional charge. PLEASE NOTE THAT LUNCH IS NOT PROVIDED BY THE PROGRAM. Children are expected to bring with them a brown bag lunch. Beverage may be purchased from campus vending machines. (Please note that Bruno's Cafe, the campus eatery, will be closed for the duration of summer 2009.)
