Penn State Behrend Claims Two AMCC POW -- October 5, 2009
The Behrend Lions claimed two AMCC Player of the Week honors. The league office announces selections each Monday throughout the season.
Senior Pat Petraglia (Pittsburgh/Chartiers Valley) was named the men's golfer of the week. Petraglia followed up a second place finish at the La Roche Invitational on Tuesday by firing a two-day score of 150 to earn medalist honors at the AMCC championships and lead the Behrend Lions to the title.
Kevin Gorny (Erie/McDowell) has also been named runner
of the week for the blue and white. Gorny ran the fastest time
of his college career at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh
University. The senior finished 87th overall in a tough field
of 332 runners to complete the 8K in 26:26. This mark set by
Gorny is the fastest ever in Behrend history.
