Men's Cross Country Team Earns Adcademic All-American Team Award

The 2002 Penn State Behrend men's cross country team has earned NCAA Division III Cross Country Coaches Academic All-American Team Award.

Members of this year's team achieving this prestigious academic honor include: Dan Alvis (Cincinnati, OH/Colerian), Harry Balwick, Jr. (Erie/McDowell), Mike Barlett (Erie/Iroquois), Brent Beauseigneur (Bellefonte/Bellefonte), Brian Bitner (Alverton/South Moreland), Dan Croft (Greensburg/Greensburg Central Catholic), Clayton Kirschner (West Sunbury/Montineau), Dave Kusinsky (Alverton/South Moreland), Chad Lausberg (Saxonburg/Knoch), Floyd Mattie (Dallas/Dallas), Tim Schultheis (Latrobe/Greater Latrobe), Matt Sprung (Latrobe/Greater Latrobe), Steve Werner (St. Mary's/Elk County Christian), Brian Wheeler (State College/State College).

Second-year head coach Dave Cooper's team placed second in the AMCC Championships for the second year in a row.
