Jenny Bailey and Women's Cross Country Earn All-Academic Honors

The women's cross country team earned a spot on the NCAA division III All-Academic list for their efforts both on the course and in the classroom this past fall.  Additionally, sophomore standout Jenny Bailey (Corry/Corry) was awarded individual All-Academic honors.  To be honored as an All-Academic cross country team, teams needed a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.1.  A remarkable total of 112 division III women's cross country teams earned the honors.

The Behrend women easily surpassed the 3.1 cutoff with a team GPA of 3.47.  Eastern Mennonite set the standard with the highest cumulative team GPA at 3.76.

Jenny Bailey was among the 185 student-athletes that earned individual honors. Bailey had a phenomenal year, placing first among her team in every race this season.  The sophomore had four top-10 finishes and won the AMCC Championships at Lake Erie.

Bailey is currently competing on the track and field squad, where she holds a share of the SMR school record.
