Behrend to Host Annual Cross Country Invitational
The cross country program is hosting
its annual Invitational tomorrow, September 5, that will feature 14 colleges and
universities. The women's race will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be
followed by the men's race at 11:45 a.m. This will be the second race
for both the Behrend men and women this year.
Both programs opened their seasons
at the Westminster Invitational back on September 1 in which Jen Bailey
(Corry/Corry) placed first for the women and Kevin Gorny (Erie/McDowell)
finished second overall for the men. The
event, which is sponsored by Behrend Athletics, will offer a free hot
chocolate to those who come.
Leading up to the college races will
be a series of Jr. high school and high school races that will feature nine
schools from the surrounding area. The Jr. high races will start the
day off at 9:00 a.m. and will be followed by the high school races at 9:45
a.m.
