Gorny Named AMCC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Penn State Behrend's Kevin Gorny (Erie McDowell) was named
the AMCC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week on October 29, 2007.
This past weekend, the sophomore runner took first place overall in the AMCC
Championships with a time of 27:51. Along with other outstading
performances from his teammates, the men's cross country team went on to win
the 2007 AMCC title, its first one since 2000. Gorny has been the
number one runner for Behrend, finishing first among his team in every event
this season.
This is Gorny's third Runner of the Week award, as he won it during the
first week of the running season back on September 4 and was honored again
the week of Septmeber 17.
The men's cross country team will now prepare for the NCAA Mideast Regional
at LeHigh on Saturday, November 3. Gorny is expected to have another
stellar performance at the event.
