Fatica Named AMCC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week


Penn State Behrend's Jenna Fatica(Erie/Villa Maria Academy) was named the AMCC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week on September 1, 2008.

In Fatica's first collegiate cross country race, she led the blue and white to a sixth place finish at the Fisher Invitational.  She ran a solid race from start to finish.

The freshman recorded a time of 24:52 to lead the Behrend Lions on the 6K Westminster course.  She place tenth in a field of 139 runners.

The women's cross country team will be back in action on September 13 when they invite cross country runners from the junior high level to the college level to the Penn State Behrend Cross Country Invitational. 

The invitational kicks off at 9:00 a.m. with the junior high girls followed by the boys at 9:20 a.m.  The high school girls will begin at 9:35 a.m. and the boys take off at 10:05 a.m.  The collegiate runners begin at 11:00 a.m. for the women and 11:45 a.m. for the men.
