ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR Athlete of the Week

State Behrend junior Kevin Gorny (Erie/McDowell)
has been named the ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR athlete of the week for the
week of November 3, 2008.
Finishing the 8K race in 27:45, Gorny led the Behrend Lions to a first place finish at the 2008 AMCC Championships. Gorny finished the race as the top Behrend finisher and second overall.
The Behrend men logged 31 points and held off Franciscan who finished with 48 points. The top ten finishers earn AMCC All-Conference honors. This is the second year in a row that the Behrend Lions have won the AMCC Championships. The blue and white have also won the AMCC Championship in 2000 and 2007.
The championships marked the end of the cross country regular season. The NCAA Mideast Regionals will be held at Waynesburg on November 15, at 12 noon. The NCAA Championships are on November 22 at Hanover College in Indiana.
