Behrend Athletics Announces Appointment of Golf Staff for 2006-07
Penn State Behrend announced the appointment of James Bowen as the head men's and women's golf coach. Bowen, the assistant golf coach since 1991, will lead the program through the 2006-07 fall and spring seasons.
Joining coach Bowen will be assistant coach Rich Burlett. Burlett, the head pro at Harbor Ridge Golf Course, will be entering his first-year with the Behrend Lions.
"We are excited to have two golf experts leading our men's and women's programs," said director of athletics Brian Streeter.
The blue and white open the fall competition season with a match at Lake Erie on Saturday, September 9. Behrend hosts several teams in their annual Behrend Invitational on September 21 and then the AMCC Championships are on October 7-8 hosted by Lake Erie.
