Behrend Golf Places Third at AMCC Championships

The Behrend golf team closed out their AMCC season on October 7 and 8 with a third-place finish at the AMCC Championships held at Lake Erie.  The blue and white shot a team score of 680 and were led by Gary Dillaman (Meadville/Meadville) who shot a pair of 83's for a weekend score of 166.

The team score of 680 was 13 strokes behind second-place La Roche, and 27 strokes behind champions Penn State Altoona, who finished with a 653.  Altoona's Quintin Dziabo was the individual medalist for the weekend.  Dziabo shot an 82 on Saturday and followed up with a 78 on Sunday for a tournament score of 160.  Dillaman's 166 was tied for eighth best.

Behrend finished day one of the tournament in second place and was within striking distance of first-place Altoona but a dismal day two performance dropped the men to third.

Behrend has just one date left on the fall schedule, an October 12 match at the Penn State Altoona course for the ECAC Championships.
