Behrend Golfer's Selected for AMCC All-Conference Teams
Individuals of the Behrend men's golf
team have been selected for the 2007 AMCC All-Conference teams. This year
two of Behrend golfers earned awards on the All-Conference second team.
Senior Dave Kostanich (Jefferson Hills/Thomas Jefferson) was among those
selected. Kostanich was the team's leading golfer in the first round of the
AMCC Championships, shooting an 80 for the round.
Sophomore Joe Nelson (Warren/Warren) was also honored with second team
All-Conference honors. Nelson lead the blue and white during the second
round of the championship, finishing with a score of 83 for the round. The
Behrend Lions went on to finish seventh in the AMCC Championships.
The men went on to finish out their season at the ECAC Championships at
Wildwood. Kostanich lead the med in both rounds of play, shooting an 82 and
77 respectively. The Behrend Lions finished fourth in the championships.
