Nelson Named Enterprise Rent-A-Car Athlete of the Week
Joe Nelson (Warren/Warren) has been named the ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR athlete of the week for the week of September 28, 2009.
Nelson was the top finisher for the blue and white in both of the events this past week. In the Medaille Invitational, Nelson carded a score of 73 which placed him in a tie for third overall. In the Mt. Aloysius Golf Invitational, Nelson placed third overall in the event with a score of 75. As a team, the Behrend Lions finished second in both events.
Nelson has finished as the top performer for Penn State Behrend five times out of the possible six events. Nelson's highlight was winning the Penn State Altoona Invitational back on September 18.
The Behrend Lions golf team will travel to the La Roche Invitational on Tuesday, September 29 and will then be competing for the AMCC championships on October 4 and 5 at Chestnut Ridge Golf Course.
