Behrend Men's Golf Team Takes First at Penn State Altoona Invitational

The Behrend men's golf team finished first at Penn State Altoona this past Saturday, September 26th.  The men beat out ten other teams with a combined score of 319, edging out the Frostburg State team by two points.  This is the men's first victory after finishing second in the Pitt-Bradford Invitational and third in the Behrend Invitational at Peek 'n Peak.

Behrend was lead by sophomore star, Dave Kostanich (Jefferson Hills/Thomas Jefferson) who topped all participants with a 72.  Junior Gary Dillaman (Meadville/Meadville) tied for second among individual scores with a 78.

The win gives the Behrend men some momentum as they head to La Roche for a tournament on October 3rd, followed by a tournament at Allegheny the next day.  The AMCC Championships begin on October 9th at Penn State Altoona, where Behrend has proven to be effective.
