Men's Golf Heads to Penn State Altoona for AMCC Championships

The men's golf team will compete in the AMCC championships this Sunday, October 9 at Penn State Altoona.  This is the second trip to Altoona for the men, who won the Penn State Altoona Invitational on September 26.  The team looks to continue their winning ways, coming off of two first-place finishes in their last three tournaments.

"Our team expectations are high for this weekend.  We have competed very well against other AMCC teams this year and took first at Altoona's Invitational late last month," said head coach, Patrick O'Connor.

Coach O'Connor said he is looking to his junior class players to step up and lead this team against AMCC competition that will surely be playing their best golf of the season.  Among those juniors are Gary Dillaman (Meadville/Meadville), Josh Hull (Cranberry Twp./Seneca Valley), Josh Loaney (Cranberry Twp./Seneca Valley), Andrew Onda (Cranberry Twp./Seneca Valley), and Andrew Powell (Union City/Union City).

The championships will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will last throughout the afternoon.
