Kevin Buczynski Named AMCC and ECAC  Player of the Week

Penn State Behrend basketball star Kevin Buczynski was named the AMCC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for February 18.  After leading his team to two impressive wins this week, Buczynski was also named Division III ECAC Co-Player of the Week. 

Buczynski led his team with 24 points and 9 rebounds against Medaille and came back against Laroche and dropped an impressive 31 points, pulled in 11 boards and blocked 3 shots. Buczynski currently leads the conference in field goal percentage making 59 percent of his shots he has taken this year. Buczynski is also second on the all time scoring list with 1585 career points.

His scoring and leadership has put is team at the top of the AMCC conference standings with a league record of 14-3 and an overall record of 20-4.

The men will host the AMCC Tournament begining on Friday, February 29, with games played at 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.  The championship game will be played on Saturday, March 1 at 3:00 p.m.  Behrend will enter the tournament as the number 1 seed, with Lake Erie in the number two spot.
