Penn State Behrend's Buczynski Earns Post-Season Honors

Penn State Behrend's Kevin Buczynski (Erie/Villa Maria) was selected by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III All-District Team.  Selections are voted on by member coaches of the NABC.  Kevin was one of six selections from the Great Lakes region to receive first team honors.  Buczynski was also named to the 2008 men's basketball All-Great Lakes Region Team, where he received second team honors.

In the 2007-08 season, Buczynski led the Behrend Lions with 466 points, averaging 16.1 ppg.  He also led the team in rebounding, grabbing 193 off the boards this season for a 6.7 rpg.  Buczynski will leave the blue and white as the second all-time points scorer in Behrend history.  Kevin was able to score 1,689 points over his four year career with the blue and white.

The Penn State Behrend men's basketball team ended its 2007-2008 season with a 65-56 loss to the #13 ranked Rochester Yellowjackets in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.  Buczynski led all scorers in that game with 20 points and six rebounds.  The men ended the season with a 24-5 record overall and 15-3 conference record.
