Penn State Behrend's Adam Kaiser Named AMCC Athlete of the Week

Behrend junior Adam Kaiser (Erie/Cathedral Prep) was named the AMCC Athlete of the week for the week of February
9, 2009.
Kaiser has led the Behrend Lions to their seventh straight win as they handled Penn State Altoona 77-60. With the win the blue and white stay atop the AMCC rankings.
Last week Kaiser led the blue and white to two conference wins dropping 15 points against Penn State Altoona and 21 points against Hilbert on Wednesday. Kaiser would knock down 8-of-16 from behind the arc.
For the season Kaiser is averaging a league-best 3.3
three-pointers per game with 42.6% accuracy, and is tied for the team lead in scoring
with a 13.8 points per game average.
The Behrend Lions are ranked fourth in the nation in scoring
defense limiting their opponents to 58.7 ppg. The blue and white are also
ranked ninth in free-throw percentage at 77.4 percent.
The blue and white will play the next three of its final four games on the road against AMCC opponents. They will be back on the Junker Center hardwood to close out the season on February 21 against Pitt-Bradford at 8 p.m.
