Behrend Forward Kevin Buczynski Earns NABC All-District Recognition
The
National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has named Behrend Lions
forward Kevin Buczynski (Erie/Villa Maria) to their annual All-District
team. Buczynski earned a spot on the Great Lakes All-District
Second-Team after posting 18.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game on the
season.
Buczynski, who was a vital part of the blue and white's success in 2005-06, also earned Player of the Year honors in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC), a conference that he led throughout the season in field goal percentage (60.6%).
"Kevin is very deserving of this honor after the kind of season that he has had. Hopefully, if he continues to work hard, we will see him in this same position again next year," said head coach Dave Niland. Buczynski still has two years of eligibility left under coach Niland.
