Penn State Behrend Dominates Hilbert at Behrend Fields
Penn State Behrend fired on all cylinders on Tuesday, October 13 by defeating the Hilbert Hawks by a score of 4-0. The game was scoreless for much of the first half and it was not until the 35:56 mark of the first when the Behrend Lions got on the board with a goal by junior Lance Sabol (North Huntingdon/Norwin) on an assist from Danny Poljak (Pittsburgh/Upper St. Clair). The second half was dominated by the blue and white as they would tally another three goals. The first came when there was a scuffle in front of the net and the ball found Brian Bodnar (Murrysville/Franklin Regional) who kicked it in to make the score 2-0 in favor of Behrend. Junior Ryan Banks (Allison Park/Hampton) would add two more goals late in the second as both were assisted by Corey Hamilton (Erie/Mercyhurst Prep). Next up for the Behrend Lions will be two conference home games starting on Thursday, October 15 when they take on the La Roche Redhawks. The blue and white will be back in action on Saturday, October 17 as they battle Franciscan. This win improves Behrend's record to 9-3-1 and 4-1 in the AMCC.
