Herb Lauffer Memorial
Soccer Tournament Kicks Off 2004 Season "This tournament is a very special event for our soccer program," said head coach Dan Perritano. "It always provides a high-level of competition to start our season." The Behrend Lions, who are the preseason pick to win the AMCC again, will play Hiram on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., while Alfred and Baldwin-Wallace battle at 12:00 p.m. The classic format feature on Sunday has Behrend scheduled to play Baldwin-Wallace at 12:00 p.m. and the early game has Alfred playing Hiram at 10:00 a.m.
Last year the Behrend Lions opened up with a tough 2-1 loss to
Medaille before bouncing back with a 3-0 win over Hiram in game two of the Tournament. "We are a team with a well established identity. We need to focus on the things that worked in a year ago and continue to pound away at our strengths," continued Perritano. Back to Men's Soccer News Index |
