Milani Tabbed AMCC Men's Soccer Player of the Week (9/6/05)

Behrend's Rob Milani (McMurray/Peters Township) was named the first AMCC Player of the Week for 2005. Milani, a sophomore defender, was named the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament MVP for his outstanding defensive play leading the blue and white to the tournament title. He played all 180 minutes in a pair of wins over Washington and Jefferson and Juniata.

Behrend won the championship with a 2-1 win over W & J (1-1). Penn State Behrend (2-0) senior Brian Blaszczyk (Erie/Mercyhurst Prep) got Behrend going at the 22:00 minute mark before Isen Scholze (Champaign, IL/Champaign) came off the bench for an unassisted goal to spark the squad to victory.

The blue and white host Alfred State on Wednesday, September 7 at 4:00 p.m. on the Behrend Fields. Then Westminster travels to Erie on Saturday for a 3:00 p.m. non-conference battle.
