Behrend Upended 1-2 by Thomas More, Westminster Cruises 3-1
Thomas More struck first early, on the foot of John Wallace to put the Saints up 1-0. Adam Cline (Pittsburgh/Thomas Jefferson) for Behrend tied up the game in the end of the first half off a Dave Baleno (Pittsburgh/Plum) corner kick. The score would remain locked at 1-1 until just nine minutes remained in regulation. With the loss, Behrend falls to 0-4 on the season and will be back on the field again at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday to square off against the Westminster Titans. Thomas More improves to 1-3 and will play La Roche at 11:00 a.m. Sunday. In the tournament's second game of the day, Westminster came back from an early 0-1 deficit to score three straight and secure a 3-1 victory over La Roche. Titan scoring came from Blake Ordell, Andrew Saporito, and Brice Lott. Behrend (0-1) in this year's tournament, are the defending tournament champions after last season when they beat Washington and Jefferson 3-1 and then Juniata 2-1 in the championship game.
