Behrend men’s soccer player Thomas Rhiener (Washington/Linsly School) has been selected as the AMCC Goalkeeper of the Week for September 25.  The freshman stopper recorded nine saves and posted his first career shutout as Behrend defeated Grove City by a 2-0 margin on September 20.

Rhiener currently leads the AMCC in save percentage, with a .895 mark and has made 34 saves so far this fall.  Rhiener also ranks fourth in the conference in goals against and in saves per game.

The blue and white are 1-0 in conference play and 2-5-1 overall.  The Behrend Lions are next in action on Tuesday, September 26, when they host the AMCC defending champion Medaille Mavericks at 4:00 p.m.
