Men's Soccer Hits Milestone: 300th All-time Win
The
Penn State Behrend Lions had an impressive showing Wednesday, September 12,
as they defeated the Presidents from Washington and Jefferson 6-1, making it
the program's 300th win of all time.
Behrend struck first with a goal at the 20 minute mark by sophmore forward Jarrett Carlson (Washington/Chartiers Houston)The men continued to dominate the rest of the half and jumped to an 2-0 lead when junior midfielder Mike Seth (Pittsburgh/Baldwin) headed a driven ball into the net.
The second half was filled with even more action from the blue and white. The men went on to score four more goals by four different Behrend Lion players. Goal scorers included Ahmad Salim (Cranberry/Seneca), David Baleno (Pittsburgh/Plum), Jamie Thomas (Erie/McDowell), and Lance Sabol (North Huntingdon/Norwin).
Next up for the blue and white they will travel to Westminister on Saturday, September 15th to take on the Titans at 1:00 p.m. Last year the Behrend Lions tied Westminister 1-1 in the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament.
