Behrend Men's Soccer Receives Honors for
All-Conference Teams Walker has been nothing short of impressive between the pipes for the blue and white. He has made 63 saves this season, recording five shut-outs for the year. Walker has only allowed five goals in this season, making for an outstanding 0.37 goals against average. Walker has been ranked among the top ten goal keepers in the NCAA in the goals against average category.
The Behrend Lions had four players named to the
second-team. Among those was sophomore forward Ahmad Salim
(Cranberry/Seneca Valley). Salim is second behind Tortella in
season points. Salim has added 11 goals and three assists
towards the Behrend Lions season totaling 25 points. Senior
captain David Baleno (Pittsburgh/Plum) received his second
all-conference honors. Baleno has played excellent defense in
the midfield but has also helped in the offense efforts, scoring
three goals and adding four assists for the blue and white.
The Behrend Lions will next play in the first round of the Division III NCAA tournament. The men will travel to Washington & Jefferson and take on the Presidents on Wednesday, November 7. Kick-off is set of 6:00 p.m. Back to Men's Soccer
