Behrend's Walker Named to Mid-Atlantic
All-Regional Team "This is a well deserved honor for Dustin," said head coach Dan Perritano. "He showed great maturity all season and did an outstanding job anchoring our defense." Indeed, Walker had a tremendous season for the blue and white, conceding only seven goals in 16 games. He is currently ranked fourth in the NCAA save percentage category with a .911, tallying 72 saves on the year. Walker also is ranked eighth in the goals against average category with a .499 GAA. He was one of only three goalkeepers selected for Mid-Atlantic honors. Among other awards, Walker was the only goalkeeper named to the AMCC First-Team All-Conference. He led the AMCC in save percentage and goals against average categories. Dustin was the AMCC goalkeeper of the week three times this season as well. Walker was also named to the 2007 D3Kicks.com All-Region second team. This season the men's squad captured the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship with a 2-1 overtime win over Medaille, with Behrend earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The men defeated Washington & Jefferson in the first round 1-0 and moved on to play Montclair State. The men lost a heartbreaking 2-1 against the Red Hawks to end their tournament run. Overall, the team finished 14-5-3 on the season, tying the program's most wins in a season record.
