Behrend Men
and Women Take Care of Bethany in Junker Pool

State Behrend Men and Women handled the Bethany Bison in the Junker Center
Pool on Saturday, October 31. The men won 86 to 56 and the women
won 97 to 78.
On the women's side, the team of Meghan Stefanko (Elizabeth/Elizabeth
Forward), Brittany Tanilli (Gibsonia/Deer Lakes), Anne Lawrence (State
College/State College), and Hilary MacManus (Beaver Falls/Blackhawk) won the
200 yard medley relay with a time of 2:01.17. Junior Krystal Kovach
(Scott/Chartiers Valley) won the one meter dive with a final tally of
229.80. Katie VanEpps put in a great performance in the 200
yard IM by winning convincingly with a time of 2:26.95.
The men were led by Eric Pierce (Harmony/Seneca Valley) who competed in the
victorious 200 yard medley relay for Behrend and also won the 100 yard
backstroke event with a time of 1:02.98. Josh Weaver
(Franklin/Franklin) also had a good meet by winning the 200 yard freestyle
with a time of 1:51.64.
The Behrend Lions will be on the road on November 6 when they take on
Buffalo State. The blue and white will be back in the Junker Center
the next day when they take on St. Vincent with Baldwin Wallace.
