Brem the Latest Behrend Lion Named AMCC Tennis Player of the Week

Penn State Behrend's Amy Brem (Kersey/St. Mary's) has been named the AMCC Tennis Player of the Week for October 9.  The junior won both her singles and doubles matches against Frostburg State on Sunday.  The 7-2 win over the Bobcats helped the Behrend Lions complete an undefeated AMCC regular season.

Brem is the fourth player from Behrend to win this award this season, joining teammates Karen Hobaugh (Kutztown/Kutztown), Alison Mudrey (Hickory/Hermitage), and Mindy Calvert (Warren/Mercyhurst Prep).

Behrend (14-1, 6-0) will next compete in the AMCC Championships on Sunday, October 15 as the tournament host.  The championships will take place at the Oxford Athletic Club in Wexford, Pa.  There the blue and white will look to capture a third consecutive AMCC Championship, which would also be the seventh in ten years of AMCC competition.
