Mudrey Again Named AMCC Tennis Player of the Week

Penn State Behrend's Allison Mudrey (Hermitage/Hickory) was named the AMCC Women's Tennis Player of the Week on October 16.  The junior led the blue and white to a third consecutive AMCC Championship on October 15.

Mudrey, the 2005 AMCC Player of the Year, blasted the competition at both #1 singles and #1 doubles to help the Behrend Lions capture the title.  Behrend's 11 points in the championships edged runner-up Penn State Altoona who finished with 10.

Mudrey's success at the AMCC Championships is certainly no surprise, as she has throttled opponents over her dominating career.  Mudrey is unbeaten in three seasons of AMCC competition.  This is her second selection as AMCC Tennis Player of the Week during the 2006 season, having also been selected on September 25.  A Behrend tennis player captured the award the past five weeks of the season.
