Men's Tennis Takes Two of Their Last Three, 2-1 in AMCC

The Penn State Behrend men's tennis is now 5-12, and 2-1 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) after taking two of three matches last week.  The men swept Alfred University 9-0, came up short against Frostburg State 3-6, but then bounced back against Penn State Altoona, 8-1. 

Scott Shaw (Tulsa, OK/Jenks) had a solid week at top-flight singles, winning in straight sets against Alfred University 6-0, 6-0 and then edging out Greg Shedd of Frostburg 6-4, 6-3.  Garrett Grenek (Butler/Butler) starred for the men in doubles action.  The senior went 3-0 for the week with partner Jim Palmer (Sharon/Sharon).

Next up for the men will be the University of Steubenville on Wednesday, April 4.  The match on the road and slated to begin at 4:00 p.m.
