Women's Tennis Pair
Regionally Ranked in South Region by ITA
The Behrend women's tennis doubles team of
Mindy Calvert
(Warren/Warren) and Allison Mudrey (Hermitage/Hickory) has been
ranked sixteenth in the Atlantic South Region by the Intercollegiate
Tennis Association. The ranking makes the pair eligible for
the regional doubles tournament in May. Sixteenth is the
highest ranking a Behrend tennis team has received to date.
The top 16 will go to the tournament at season's end.
Calvert and Mudrey went 15-1 last fall
during the season, with their one loss coming by a slim margin to
the fifteenth ranked doubles team in the region. The two women
have played three matches as a team in the non-traditional spring
season and won each time. The pair beat Juniata, Roberts
Wesleyan, and Geneva this spring.
