2007 Team
Awards Released for Behrend Men's Tennis The most valuable player award went to Jim Palmer (Sharon/Sharon). Palmer saw constant action throughout the year and was able to go 8-6 in both singles and doubles competition despite a tough schedule. He has made the AMCC all-conference team each of the last two seasons. Brad Nagel (West Alexander/McGuffey) was elected as the team's Most Improved Player. Nagel showed tremendous improvement over the course of the season and was able to excel in doubles competition down the stretch, ending with a 6-4 record. Shane Mosier (Kersey/St. Marys) was given the Rookie of the Year honors. Mosier saw more time than any other freshman for the team, competing in 20 singles matches and another nine doubles matches.
The Leadership/Scholarship award nominee was Daryl
Nowacki (Warren/Warren). Nowacki was an instrumental leader in
his third season under coach Barger on and off the court, receiving
academic all-conference honors for his work in the classroom. |
