2007 ITA
Women's All-Academic Scholar-Athletes Announced Three Penn State Behrend women's tennis players were honored by the ITA for academics. Junior Amy Brem (Kersey/St. Marys), freshman Christine Calvert (Warren/Mercyhurst Prep) and junior Allison Mudrey (Hermitage/Hickory) were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meeting the following criteria of being a varsity letterwinner and having a grade point average of at least a 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale). Brem, Calvert and Mudrey guided the Behrend Lions to the 2007 AMCC Conference Championship last October as they marched through the regular-season schedule with a 6-0 conference slate and an impressive 15-1 overall record. Brem was named second-team all-conference while Calvert and Mudrey anchored the first-team. Mudrey was also named the league's Player of the Year. |
