Tennis Cruises 9-0 Against Penn State Altoona to Improve to 11-1

The Penn State Behrend Lions women's tennis team earned another win on Friday, dropping Penn State Altoona 9-0 on the Behrend Courts.

Each Behrend netter enjoyed a victory in their singles match.  Winners included Allison Mudrey (Hermitage/Hickory), Christy Calvert (Warren/Mercyhurst Prep), Hillary Lasher (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern), Karen Hobaugh (Kutztown/Kutztown), Erin Bliley (Erie/Mercyhurst Prep), and Elissa Swartz (Warren/Warren).

During Doubles action, the blue and white continued to outplay the Lions, winning all three doubles matches.

With the victory, Coach Barger's crew improves to a sharp 11-1, while Altoona falls to 2-4 on the season.

Next on the schedule for the blue and white will be a pair of home matches. Behrend will battle Altoona again on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. and then Westminster travels to Erie for a Sunday afternoon match at 2:30 p.m. Earlier this season Behrend defeated the Titans 6-3.
