Women's Tennis Beats Altoona 7-2, Go 2-0 on Weekend Play

The Penn State Behrend Lions women's tennis team earned their second win of the weekend by defeating Penn State Altoona 7-2 for the second day in a row. 

Each Behrend netter enjoyed a victory in their singles match.  The day's winners included Allison Mudrey (Hermitage/Hickory), Karen Hobaugh (Kutztown/Kutztown), Hillary Lasher (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern), Erin Bliley (Erie/Mercyhurst Prep), Kelly Matalka (Pittsburgh/Chartiers Valley), and Libby Pascuzzi (Warren/Warren). 

During Doubles action, the women were defeated in two matches of three.  The Behrend Lions finished 7-2 on the day.  They now are 12-1 on the season.  Altoona falls to 2-5 for the year. 

Next on the schedule for the blue and white they will take on the Westminster Titans. Earlier this season Behrend defeated the Titans 6-3. The women will get a short break until October 5 when they travel to Frostburg and take on the Bobcats at 4:00 p.m.
