Men's Tennis Concludes 2008 Season with Win Over Bethany

After capturing the 2008 men's tennis AMCC Championship title, the Penn State Behrend men's tennis team wrapped up its 2008 season with a non-conference victory over Bethany College on Tuesday, April 15.  Behrend won the match 7-2.

Picking up wins in singles action were Elliot Blackstone (Wexford/Pine Richland), James Getty (Erie/Harborcreek), John
Michalko (Washington/McGuffey), Jake Fling (Erie/Villa Maria), and Griffin Olon.

In doubles play the team of Shane Mosier (Kersey/St. Marys) and Michalko picked up a win as did the duo of Sami Badri
(Dubai/Dubai American Academy) and Jason Grosch (Warren/Warren).

Behrend men's tennis finishes a successful 2008 season after capturing the AMCC Championship for the first time since 2004.  Coach Jeff Barger's squad finished up at 11-7 overall and 6-0 in league play.
