Behrend Lions Cruises Past Fredonia State 9-0 on the Behrend Courts
The Behrend Lions women's tennis team took on Fredonia State on Tuesday, September 16, on the Behrend courts and handled the Blue Devils, 9-0.
Karen Hobaugh (Kutztown/Kutztown) teamed with Christy Calvert (Warren/Mercyhurst Prep) to win at first doubles and second and fourth singles. respectively. Hillary Lasher (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern) also earned wins in third singles and sixth singles.
With the win the blue and white remain undefeated in the 2008 season at 6-0 overall and 1-0 in the AMCC.
The Behrend Lions will
next be on the road to take on Pitt-Bradford in a AMCC match up on September
18th. The blue and white will return to the Behrend courts on
Saturday, September 20th to take on Oneonta and La Roche beginning at 11:00
