Lasher Named AMCC Tennis Player of the Week for the Second Time

Penn State Behrend sophomore Hillary Lasher (Lakewood, NY/ Southwestern) has been named the AMCC women's tennis player of the week for September 22, 2008.

Lasher went 3-0 in singles action getting the lone win for the Behrend Lions in a 8-1 loss to Oneonta State.  Lasher won 7-5 and 6-4.  She then led the the blue and white to victory over AMCC rival La Roche.  She took number one singles 6-2 and 6-2.

The Behrend Lions improved to 8-1 on the season with a 2-0 record in AMCC play.

Behrend will play its next five matches on the road.  The road trip begins with Westminster on Friday, September 26, 2008.  The match begins at 3:30 p.m.  The blue and white will next be in action on the Behrend Courts on October 3, 2008 when they take on AMCC opponent Penn State Altoona at 3:00 p.m.
